club de golf alcanada

18 holes - Par 72 (6499m)

Designer: Robert Trent Jones Snr & Jnr.

There are two distinct features that make Alcanada a unique golf course in Mallorca. The first is the stunning location, and the second is the superb designer.

Everyone who visits Alcanada is impressed by the stunning views, as the well kept fairways, with pine, olive & oak trees which slope gently down do the glittering Bay of Alcudia. Look the other way and you have the mountains of the Sierra de Levante as an equally stunning backdrop.

Robert Trent Jones Snr. & Jnr, designed this beautiful course, which opened in October 2003. Typical Trent Jones features, like 58 well placed green side fairway bunkers, challenging greens with hidden breaks, and difficult but fair tee shots, make this golf course a must for all experienced golfers travelling to Mallorca.

Almost as spectacular as the design of the course is the view across the bay of Alcudia. Club de Golf Alcanada is the only course in Mallorca that is located right by the sea. The lighthouse on the island of Alcanada, just 150m into the sea, forms part of the clubs logo. The course is located in an environmentally important area, and you will frequently find a wide variety of wild life and rare birds on the course, particularly in the early morning.

The restaurant overlooks both the course, and the Bay of Alcudia bay, and from here you will have a hard choice choosing from the many mouthwatering options on the menu (although the club sandwich is highly recommended!).

In 2007 Alcanada changed the tee-time intervals from 10 to 12 minutes. This small but important change has resulted in a reduction in the number of divots, pitch-marks and other damage to the course, meaning that it is in a better condition than many of the islands other golf courses. Furthermore it is almost unheard of to spend longer than 4 and half hours playing 18 holes here.
